Calgary, April 29, 2003
Liquidation World Inc. (LQW – TSX; LIQWF – Nasdaq) announces it has requested The Nasdaq Stock Market to delist its stock effective the close of business April 30, 2003. The Company will retain its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange, through the facilities of which, the vast majority of trading in its stock takes place.
"The limited trading activity of the Company's stock on Nasdaq does not warrant the annual costs of listing and filing with the SEC" said Dale Gillespie, Chairman and C.E.O. "Our primary exchange, the Toronto Stock Exchange, is the 8th largest in the world, is well respected and can be accessed for trading from around the globe. We believe this course of action, is on balance, in the best interest of shareholders".
The Company is applying to the Securities and Exchange Commission to terminate its registration and cease its reporting requirements. Liquidation World Inc. will continue to be a reporting issuer in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec and all public filings may be found on the SEDAR.com website.
